Architectural models serve several purposes, just a few include:

• Helping all parties involved to visualize the space in full 3D and be able to make design adjustments.

• City/county/state approval for building in specific areas.

• Fundraising for new construction/sales/donors.

• Citation/Memento/Gift for parties involved in the project.

A couple case examples below:

Google Campus - Charleston East
Architect: Heatherwick Studios and Bjarke Ingalls Group
General Contractor: XL Construction
The project involved creating a 1:50 scale architectural model of the proposed new Google campus located in San Francisco's south bay.
Worked directly with Heatherwick Studios, BIG and XL Construction to create a scale model of the new Google campus installed at Google X Mountain View, CA (Prototyping Lab.)
Scope of model included interior, exterior and landscape with exact dimensions and closely simulated materials. Model was assembled in (8) sections  that were moveable for ease of viewing. When all sections were placed together, the model was approximately 19' x 20' x 5' tall.
Architects provided basic design files in Rhinoceros (3dm.) EOAC interpreted edited and converted files into their respective formats for CNC machining (canopies and landscapes), laser cutting (individual room modules) and shop drawings for general machining, layout and assembly.
EOAC was the project designer/manager/coordinator who also managed the build and install crew. Contractors vital to the outcome of the project were: The CnC Shop, Pure Black Inc. and Design It Prototype.
Copper Pass
Architect: VanDeWalle Architects
General Contractor: Costello
The project involved creating five architectural models of the first 90%+ efficient apartment complex in South Dakota. The first model was a rush order for presentation to the governor at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Worked directly with VanDeWalle Architects and Costello to create the most impactful detail on these small scale models 1:128
 (approximately 22" x 9" x 6")
